Objectives
To identify the basic concepts associated with the issue of alcoholism, as well as the related psychosocial and health aspects. To identify the main effects of alcohol on the body. To identify the basic concepts relating to the different types of treatment for alcoholism. Identify the basic concepts associated with the issue of drug addiction, as well as the related psychosocial and health aspects. Identify the basic concepts regarding the different types of drugs and their classification. Identify the basic concepts regarding measures to be taken in cases of drug intoxication. Identify the basic concepts associated with HIV/AIDS, the progression of the infection, and the need for prevention and early screening.
Recipients
Working professionals, both employed and unemployed, who, as part of their continuing professional development, wish to enhance or update their knowledge in their respective fields of expertise.
Certificate
At the end of the course, participants will receive a Certificate of Qualifications, provided they have met the defined objectives and attended at least 90 per cent of the course.
