Objectives
To distinguish and characterise the main bioenergy resources. To identify trends and prospects for the future development of bioenergy. To recognise the importance of different types of biomass. Identify and characterise the various methods of converting solid biomass. Distinguish between the processes used to produce solid biomass for energy purposes. Recognise the importance of liquid biofuels. Identify and characterise the main processes and technologies for the production of liquid biofuels. Recognise the main sources of organic matter that can be converted into biogas. Recognise the main options for the energy recovery of biogas. Identify and characterise the biological processes and the main technologies for converting organic matter into biogas.
