Organised by the Vila Meã Business Association, the main aim of this project was to promote and boost the region’s local produce. a

To this end, three training sessions were organised for local producers, which included not only theoretical sessions but also networking opportunities, guided tours and other activities.

These sessions were followed by informal tasting events, at which local produce was prepared by renowned chefs. The atmosphere of these gatherings was further enhanced by cultural elements, with music and literature taking centre stage.

A recipe book – ‘Recipes Made in Tâmega & Sousa’ – was also produced to capture the flavour pairings and tastes experienced and savoured throughout the project.
